...one of the benefits of working for an engineering school is that from time to time, when the students are feverishly studying english, which is usually, they produce cool stuff like this...this a model of all the lies within kanazawa city limits, and it's pretty freakin' detailed...unfortunately, since the school is located in nonoichi, which is right next to kanazawa, it isn't actually included in the model, and nor is our humble abode since we too live in nonoichi...oh well...the students spent most of the day putting together the various tiles that make up the model, and it just kept growing and growing...not sure exactly why they did it, but there is the annual school festival coming up, so that may well have something to do with it...quite cool though if i do say so...
...ok, gotta go rent myself a godzilla costume now :-)

Hello! I've been having fun reading your blog, and I happened upon your section with the weird "Engrish" names for apartment buildings. Schoenbrunn, by the way, is the name of a famous Baroque castle in Vienna. Surprisingly enough, the Schoenbrunn in your picture does not resemble the real one. Ciao, Ernesto
