The Harvest...

...recently chieko's parents having been sending us a box like this pretty much once a week...now is the time when everything is ripe and ready on their farm, and with fewer mouths to feed, they have more than they need...so they've been kind enough to send us boxes of fresh produce...today we received a bunch of grapes, tomatoes, a big daikon radish, and i think there are some cucumbers hiding in there somewhere...
...over the summer the contents have varied according to what was in season, so we've had watermelon, strawberries, peppers, lots of little eggplants, and more tomatoes than one couple can possibly hope to consume...
...it's a drizzly sunday morning here, which is to say it's nice and cool...chieko is engrossed in final fantasy 12 (my birthday gift to her), i am engrossed in drinking coffee and listening to the red sox about to drop another game to the royals...
...hoping to head to the electronics shop today and get a wireless internet setup for my computer, which i have realized is virtually out of memory, so i have some housekeeping to do with this old mac...will head into the office at some point this afternoon and plan some lessons for tomorrow...no rush to do anything at the moment though, except to go and refill my cup coffee...happy sunday to all...
