Tonight's Menu...

...tonight was bruscetta night here at summerge four #102...and i done good folks, i done very good...here we have some before and after pics...what you're looking at is a baguette which was sliced into three sections, which were then sliced in half to make six...i went 50/50 with half receiving garlic and olive oil, the other half pesto, on top of which liberal piles of onion, tomato and cheese, and black olives for chieko...then into the oven until it was brown...the pesto was store-bought, but it was quite tasty...wouldn't mind trying to make my own at some point...

...this batch worked out perfectly, for our tastes at least...the outside was crispy but under that layer of crust things were still all goopy and warm...i have to say the pesto took the cake, and the garlic/olive oil mix was just overpowering and uninspired after the culinary/emotional one-two punch that was pesto bruscetta...i will be making this again soon i think...

...work was easy today as we are in the midst of giving mid-term exams, which is a breeze until it comes time to correct the tests...joy...i stayed up too late last night so i am going to putter around here for a few more minutes then call it a day...

Looks better than the mini pizza bagel I cooked myself last night, which then came back to haunt me today with it's own "one-two punch!"
