Deck the Halls...

NOT!!...don't mistake these intriguing, possibly christmas like rigs for anything remotely related to the holiday season...while they may look ready for xmas lights, such is not the case...

...the japanese are pretty particular about their greenery, and this setup is merely a preventative measure to ensure that the heavy, wet snow we are prepping to receive over the next few months doesn't go crippling the campus flora...but they are cool to look at in their own right...
...as far as christmas in japan is concerned, i can sum up the holiday spirit in a simple anicdote: I WILL BE WORKING ON CHRISTMAS!!
...the christmas tradition here, if you dare call it that, is to eat KFC and have 'christmas cake', whatever the hell that is...i'm not bitter though, not bitter at all...

Find "A Christmas Story" and watch that while eating KFC. Can you get Chinese food in Japan?

good idea shades...we can get chinese food here, and my neighbor even has an obnoxious golden retriever that could work as a bumpis dog...we're onto something here...
