Back to School...

...it was back to work today for chieko and i, though classes don't officially start until tomorrow...we started the day with a two hour meeting from which everyone left hungry and slightly on edge, which is what i imagine is the usual result of putting 20-odd hungry, opinionated people in a room for two hours and trying to get them to agree on stuff they all have different opinions about...
...the rest of the afternoon was spent eating and planning, mostly photocopying...every term is getting easier in terms of preparation...there is a lot more paperwork involved with this job than i had anticipated, and being organized seems to be the most important thing, along with figuring out how not to make more work for myself...
...tomorrow we'll start in with classes and we'll be hard at it all the way until, um, thursday, when there's a national holiday...but alas, back to work, and time to fire up the old iron again for my nightly session...very theraputic that ironing...good night...

Hm...I never iron any of my clothes. I wear wrinkly clothes all the time. But it's okay. My students seem to be on the same boat with me on that matter anyway. ;)
