Tokyo and Back...

...tokyo was rainy and cold on my one full day there, but that didn't stop my friend sean and i from trecking into the heart of the city to drool over some fancy guitars...

...if only i had a room that looked something like this...ok this might be overkill but there are 2 or 3 guitars here that i would have loved to take home...the only thing i ended up walking out with were a few sets of strings that i can't find here in kanazawa...

...my trip to tokyo was great except for the train ride there and back...it takes about three and a half hours, and for some reason the trains were extremely crowded on my way back last night...i ended up standing for the entire trip...here's the bullet train i road on...don't know what your image of these things is, but they are BIG...this one was two floors the whole way through...one of the bummers of train travel across japan is that there are so many tunnels...better bring a book because there isn't much sightseeing...i'll be seriously considering flying next time i go to tokyo...i think it's a little more expensive but might be worth it for convenience-sake...it still cost a bit more than $200 round trip...not cheap...
...i'll be in and out of the office this week preparing for the start of classes next tuesday...going for my license exam friday, and we'll be heading up to niigata to visit chieko's parents at some point in between...oh how time does fly...
