Beach Pics cont...

...this was a tranquil tidal pool that reflected the sky nicely, surrounded by quicksand...well, maybe not quicksand, but there was definitely some geological phenomenon, probably with the word 'liquifaction' in it's name, which caused me to very unsettlingly sink into the sand...and it jiggled when you walked on it...i was mildly frightened...

...here an unfortunate jellyfish wilts in the sun...it was about the size of a dinner plate...

...and here, a delicate feather waits to be swept away by the incoming tide, or to be blown away by the wind, or to be picked up by someone othere than me...

...and here, friends, is the reason i will rethink swimming in japan ever again...yeah that's another dead jellyfish wilting in the sun, but it's a lot bigger than a dinner plate...i found a piece of driftwood and poked at it a bit...it was definitely a jellyfish and not sea slime (for some reason the picture keeps coming up sideways no matter what i do, which distorts it and doesn't give you a true impression of big this thing was...honest)...

...how's this for low tide...the ocean took a chunk of the beach on it's way out (note another fancy sand-level photography by me)...
