...first of all happy father's day to my wonderful father, and sorry i didn't get this post up yesterday as i had sort of promised...i was experimenting with some picture posting methods, and those experiments failed miserably...hopefully i'll get it worked out eventually...
...so it was a beautiful weekend, and yesterday evening kent and i took a bike ride up to the bamboo forest at the edge of town..it is really beautiful up there and having a place so close to get immersed in nature and away from concrete is something i really missed living in saitama before...it was a bit of a ride getting up there, but kent managed it well on his grandma bike and i was huffing and puffing with my fear-strewn mountain bike...but once we got up to a clearing, we were afforded beautiful views...kanazawa in one direction, a see of bamboo in the another...and there was this little goat/deer-like thing grazing on grass and unripened plums...he/she was wild but didn't seem to mind our company...give me a few minutes and i'll put up some more pictures...
