...can't say i've ever been much of a soccer fan, but this evening Chieko and I are enjoying the world cup match between japan and australia, and i have to admit, i'm half-way enjoying it...i have failed to realize how physical a game soccer actually is...i suppose part of the reason i'm finding it more exciting is because i'm in a country where people actually care about soccer, and thus there is a quite a sense of excitement...japan's rallying cry is 'samuri blue,' a slogan which can be found on pretty much everything you look at...so i'll be interested to see how america does in this tournament...apparently we have a pretty good soccer team...who'da thunk it...

...and in other news that concerns balls of a different sort, while trying to use my fancy new camera the other night to take pictures of a beautiful full moon, i managed to make our lunar satellite look like a penis...however, i failed to capture a clear image of the moon itself...

A UFP! Scary stuff Casey. Did you see that America got taught a footballing lesson by the Czechs in their fist game he he. Marcela sends you a big up yours. Hopefully you guys can beat the Italians so the Czechs can avoid Brazil in the second round.
At least your team has qualified for the tournament, South Africa has to sit this one out which sucks big time. But we get to host the next one which means automatic qualification. Awesome.
i did see that the US got spanked the other day...stinks all the games are on in the middle of the night here...for once i'm actually interested in SOCCER...i hear the US and Italy are talking trash to each other now...
